A Bedtime Story For Kids – Goldilocks and The Three Bears

A long time ago in a certain village lived a very pretty, little girl named Goldilocks. One day, Goldilocks decided to go for a walk in the forest.

As she got to the forest and was making her walk it, she came upon a house. She knocked on the front door, but there was no response, so she walked right in.

When she got in, she saw three bowls of porridge on the table in the kitchen. She was very hungry that she decided to help herself with some of the porridge. She tasted the porridge from the first bowl.

“Ouch, this porridge is very hot!” She exclaimed almost spitting the porridge out.

So, she tried the porridge from the second bowl.

“This Porridge is very cold,” she said.

Again, she tried the third bowl of porridge.

“Ah, this is just the right deal for me,” she said happily and went on to finish the entire porridge in the bowl.

After she had eaten to her full, she felt a little sleepy and decided to take a little nap before resuming her walk in the forest. When she walked into the living room, she saw three chairs. She was so tired and decided to rest in the first chair.

“Oh, this chair is very big for me” she exclaimed.

So, she moved to the second chair.

“I don’t feel comfortable here, the chair is very big for me,” she said.

So, she moved to the last and smallest chair in the living room.

“very good, this is just the right chair for me,” she sighed. But just as she was beginning to relax in her newly found chair, the chair broke into pieces.

She was so tired that she didn’t care so much about the broken chair. She just picked herself up and headed upstairs to the bedroom. She found three beds when she got to the bedroom.

She tried the first bed, “Aah, is this bed is made of rocks? it is too hard for me!” She exclaimed.

She moved to the second and lay down on it. “Aah, this bed is too soft, it is like I am sinking right in,” she said.

She moved from the second bed and went to the third bed to lay down. “Perfect! this is just the right bed for me, she said happily and fell asleep.

As she was sleeping and having a good time in her dreams, the three bears came home.

“Someone has been eating my food,” growled the Papa bear.

“Someone ate some of my porridge,” Mama bear said.

“Someone ate up all my porridge,” cried the Baby bear.

They moved from the kitchen to the living room.

“Someone has been sitting on my chair!” Papa bear exclaimed.

“Someone has been sitting on my chair,” Mama bear said.

“Someone sat on my chair and they’ve broken it,” cried the Baby bear.

They decided to look around some more to determine the extent of the damage in the house while they were away. They went upstairs to the bedroom.

“Someone has been sleeping on my bed,” Papa bear growled.

“Someone has been sleeping on my bed, too,” Mama bear.

“Someone has been sleeping on my bed and she is still on it right now!” the Baby bear cried.

The cry of the baby bear woke Goldilocks up and she saw three bears. She was shocked that she screamed, “Help!” She got up from the bed and ran out of the bedroom. She ran downstairs, opened the door, and ran away into the forest never to return to the home of the three bears again.
